Thanks for taking the time to stop by and browse through my galleries! I hope you enjoy viewing my photographs as much as I enjoyed making them. Art is only art when it’s shared.
I believe that there is an innate artistic sense born in everyone. (Give any child some finger paints and stand back). As we age some continue to follow their artistic vision from an early age, some lose it all together and some chose to ignore it for much of their life. I seem to fall into the last category. Through my life I have always enjoyed graphic arts and photography but rarely created my own. A few years ago I finally gave in to that innate creative sense, and decided to follow my artistic muse and fell headlong into digital photography. Maybe it’s the stage of my life or the possibilities that the new digital revolution present, (probably both), that have pulled me in so completely.
I may have come to the party late, but I have worked hard to catch-up. It’s hard to find the time to learn and practice photography and the software behind it, but I can’t seem to get enough. I’m constantly listening to outstanding photography podcasts, reading blogs and viewing thousands of images on-line, not to mention reading dozens of books and attending workshops and conventions.
The most important thing I have learned so far is to follow my vision and develop my own style. That can certainly take years, but hopefully it’s beginning to show in my work. I would love to hear any positive feedback that you have to offer. Lastly; if you find an image you simply can’t live without, most of my images are available for sale through Smugmug. Thanks again for stopping by. Enjoy my vision and my art!
